A good place to ski, in my opinion, is Mount St Louis Moonstone. The drive is at the most 1.5 hrs (I can do it in 1.25 hrs) and is directly off hwy 400. When fully open they have great snow conditions and two terrain parks (one of them was rate top 5 in North America).
